There are 2 reasons i did not give this rack 5 stars. Though the adjustable width rack will fit over a tire as big as 29 x 4 inches it shrinks down to bikes with as small as 26 x 1 tires meaning it can fit pretty much any road or mountain bike you ve got. Reviewed in the united states on february 8 2019 i bought this rack for my surly ecr with 29x3 0 tires.

Fitting this to my bike using 26x4 5 tires i had plenty of room. Height adjustable legs and a rear light mount round out the features. I have used the rack on several long bikepacking trips with heavy loading 40 lbs on rough terrain and it has performed like a champ. The outpost can carry short or tall water bottles which is a nice feature and they have an elastic pocket on the outside that holds an rx bar perfectly.
